More than forty other oceanographers are involved under the leadership of Prof. Burkard Baschek, Director of the Institute of Coastal Research at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG). In addition to various HZG groups, the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research, Warnemünde (IOW), the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, the Alfred Wegener Institute Bremerhaven and the University of Lübeck contributetd to the expedition as scientific partners.

Besides, the FH Aachen, the Havariekommando Cuxhaven and the FU Berlin also supported the project.
